Biographies: Tom Dumont



Tom Dumont was born on January 11, 1968 in LA. He grew up in Long Beach, near Adrian Young. Growing up, Tom was influenced by heavy metal bands. Some of his favorites include Kiss, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest. Before joining No Doubt, Tom played in a heavy metal band called Rising with his sister. Rising and No Doubt happened to practice in the same recording studio. There was a post on the message board that said No Doubt was looking for a guitarist. Tom was fed up with the heavy metal scene, so he called the number. He has been playing with No Doubt ever since. He spends his time surfing the days away and hanging out with his fiance, Mieke, in Long Beach. Sometime in the beginning of November or late October 2003, Tom and Mieke got engaged during a trip to New England and they plan to have a wedding sometime in 2004. Congratulations to the happy couple!
